Live Streaming Instructions

Dear Members and Friends of St. Gabriel and All Angels,

A small team has been working this week to establish an easy way for you to participate in Sunday’s Holy Eucharist via a Live Stream over the internet. It’s quite simple and straightforward and can be used on a computer, a tablet or a cell phone.

Of course all our church family is yearning to be together in our lovely church. Until the government church closures are lifted, we think that the Live Stream will go a long way in sustaining our devotion and connection. We are using technology, but the Holy Spirit has no bounds. This is the time for more prayer and kindness than ever before.

We won’t have a Live Stream link (URL) to send you until Sunday morning around 10:00 AM. So be on the lookout for an email from St Gabriel and All Angels Sunday morning.

In that email, we will send you a link (URL) that you need to click or tap to open the stream in your browser. Once you have the YouTube stream window open, the next step is to click or tap the Play Button in the lower left corner of the stream window in your browser. This starts playing the live stream.

Each week we will need to set up a new stream for that week. So each Sunday we will send a new email Sunday morning with that week’s Live Stream link (URL).

Two extras that will enrich the worship experience:

  • We will supply everyone with one of the small blue missalettes to take home so you may follow the words of the Eucharist. Just as in church, your inner praying of the words with the priest creates a connection and adds your spiritual contribution to the Spiritual Temple we all build together. The physical distance doesn’t matter, we think at least some of you will have some experiences to share. Jesus said, “I will not leave you comfortless.” You can pick up a missalette today from the mailbox that is attached outside the southwest door of the church.
  • You can sing and pray along with us during each each streamed Sunday Eucharist! Prior to service, we will post the hymns, Collect prayer, and the Epistle and Gospel scripture readings on our website, http://stgabe.org. You can print them, or just read them on the screen if you wish.

If you have any questions or need help, you can always email me at rector@stgabe.org, and I will do my best to respond promptly up until 10:15 Sunday morning.

In Christ’s service,
Fr. James
